Australian-based marine photographer and Club Marine Magazine contributor Andrea Francolini has raised close to $5000 for his ‘My-First-School’ project, which seeks to buy the children of northern Pakistan much-needed school equipment.

As well as individual donations, Francolini has also had the support of several media outlets, which are helping to get the word out. He sent a special thank you to Club Marine Magazine, which has published two articles, including a news piece in the December 2010 edition, and a profile in the February 2011 issue, which includes photos from his Pakistani project.

Francolini will fly to Pakistan in May to meet the people who run the schools that will receive assistance with the donations made since the project launch. For more information about ‘My-First-School’ and to see some of Francolini’s own images as the project develops, visit www.my-first-school.org.
