Boat lift competition hots up

Luxury boat manufacturer, Maritimo will open its Hope Island facility to the general boating public, providing the northern Gold Coast with a prime boat maintenance facility that until now was available only to Maritimo owners.

Maritimo’s Craig Jones said: “We are in a brilliant location at Hope Harbor Marina and with a 75 tonne travel lift and under-cover hard stand on request, we can basically look after vessels of any size.

“Boaters don’t have to go all the way up the western reach of the Coomera River to get their boat lifted any more because we can accommodate them right here only minutes from Paradise Point.”

Jones said the facility had been used to service and provide after-sales support to Maritimo owners, but the company had made a decision to open it up to the broader boating public. Maritimo Hope Island will now provide services such as haul-out, wash-downs, anti-fouling, engine and genset servicing, polishing, timber refit, electrical repairs and electronics, swim platforms, detailing and prop speeding.

“We aim to be very competitive so anyone needing to get their boat out of the water should give us a call and compare.”
