86,674 readers fuel record Club Marine growth!
A record total of 86,674 readers have reinforced Club Marine Magazine’s
position as Australasia’s leading marine magazine. The most recent Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) result for the period from July to December, 2011 shows an increase of 639 readers on the magazine’s result for the previous six-month period (86,035).
The outcome is a firm endorsement of the effectiveness of print publishing in the marine and boating sector, according to Club Marine’s
Managing Editor, Chris Beattie.
“At a time when some sectors of print publishing are under pressure, it is a great outcome for Club Marine
and print in general, said Mr Beattie.
“More importantly, Club Marine
has continued to increase its readership at a time when most other audited marine publications have seen declines. It is a great endorsement of the focus and appeal of Club Marine Magazine
and, just as importantly, reinforces the value for money that Club Marine
offers to advertisers.
“Our readership represents a fantastic and highly valuable demographic,” said Mr Beattie, “And our advertising rates offer incredibly good value for money on a dollar-per-thousand readers basis.”
The magazine recently launched an exciting subscription promotion involving giving away six glamour boating experiences over a 12-month period and Beattie is hopeful that it will contribute to continued readership growth.
“Our Six of the Best!
promotion has attracted a lot of positive attention and we are confident that it will contribute substantially to our readership figures for the coming audit period,” he said.
According to the new ABC figures, 86,674 people across Australia and New Zealand now subscribe to Club Marine Magazine
. According to the ABC, of the other magazines in the marine sector, the closest to Club Marine

Beattie said that while the circulation increase was a reason for celebration, the magazine team remained committed to maintaining the hard-won loyalty of its readers and advertisers.
“Each issue we continue to strive to improve the product and give readers a reason to sit back and relax as they soak up all that is great about the sensational Australasian marine lifestyle,” he said.
