Club Marine Geographe Bay Race Week

Club Marine Geographe Bay Race Week
Host of this year’s Club Marine Geographe Bay Race Week, the Port Geographe Marina in Busselton, WA, has announced a new event plan it says is sure to entice sailors of all skills and interests to participate. To be held from February 16-22, the event generally attracts over 700 sailors and 80 yachts from all over Australia.

Naming rights sponsor Club Marine is proud to be involved with this iconic event, which this year will relocate to Port Geographe Marina. A range of new onshore activities includes a social program around The Deck (the marina’s tavern) and at the marina, where a stage has been erected over the water. The lively program includes a fashion parade, a burlesque revue, a formal dinner and casual entertainment.

A Rally Division has also been added to this year’s program. Much like a car rally, yachts will have the whole week of the regatta to cruise around Geographe Bay as they please, stopping at various points for rally information and to enjoy the local restaurants and wineries.
