Record circulation for Club Marine Magazine

2015 Club Marine Magazine record ABC-audit figure
Club Marine is delighted to announce Club Marine Magazine’s circulation has increased to an unprecedented 92,904* subscribers following the recent Audited Media Association of Australia (AMAA) circulation audit for January to June, 2015.

This is Club Marine Magazine’s highest-ever circulation figure and it firmly cements the magazine’s position as Australasia’s leading marine lifestyle publication. The previous record high was 91,728 for the same period in 2014.

“As a print publisher, we are immensely proud of the latest AMAA figures,” said Club Marine Publisher and CEO, Simon McLean. “In a period when many print titles are undergoing significant readership shrinkage, this result endorses our long-held belief that high quality print titles are valued and remain very relevant in today’s market.

“We have worked hard to consolidate and build on our circulation growth by enhancing our existing content, whilst also introducing new sections such as Road Review, our automotive reviews section, and Hooks Lines ’n’ Sinkers, which provides reviews on the latest fishing gear. The latest AMAA figures confirm that Club Marine Magazine has solidly anchored its position as one of Australasia’s favourite magazines.”

The AMAA audit result is a firm endorsement from readers that they continue to value and enjoy reading Club Marine Magazine. Magazine Managing Editor, Chris Beattie said it also underlined the title’s strategy to promote and foster the Australasian marine lifestyle.

“It’s also a particularly significant outcome for us considering 2015 marks the magazine’s 30th anniversary year,” said Beattie.

“I’d also like to take this opportunity to clarify a common misconception that Club Marine is automatically mailed out to all Club Marine Insurance policy holders. In fact, all of our subscribers choose to pay an additional subscription over and above their insurance premium,” explained Beattie.

In comparison, audit figures for other marine titles over the same period are: Trade-A-Boat – 10,928 (down 20.1% from 13,669); and Sport Fishing Australia – 8069 (down 15.2% from 9520).

Club Marine Magazine is a quality bi-monthly magazine published by Club Marine Limited, Australia’s market leader in recreational boat insurance. The magazine has a broad appeal well beyond its core marine audience, with a hugely popular Gourmet section appealing to foodies, while other regular features include marine lifestyle, destination, automotive and environmental content.
