Club Marine NSW Youth Champs

2015 Club Marine NSW Youth Match Racing Championship
Young sailors are invited to enter the Club Marine NSW Youth Match Racing Championship, to be held on August 1 and 2 at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, Sydney.

The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia Youth Sailing Academy, in association with Yachting New South Wales, will host the Club Marine NSW Youth Match Racing Championship on August 1 and 2 at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA).

CYCA Sailing Manager Justine Kirkjian said the event delivers an opportunity for young sailors to further develop their sailing skills in a competitive environment.

“The entry age has been raised to Under 23 this year to bring the event in line with the ISAF World Youth Match Racing Championship, which will further contribute to the quality of racing,” Kirkjian said.

CYCA Youth Sailing members to watch at this year’s event will be Harry Price and Caitlin Tames, who recently competed at the Australian Youth Match Racing Championship in Mooloolaba, Queensland, with Price claiming overall victory. Milly Bennett, from the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, is also eligible for the event and has begun the season competing in the ISAF Women’s World Match Racing Championship in Denmark, in June.
