Vic Bream Classic

Competitors in this year’s Vic Bream Classic are adding points to their scorecards in a bid to snag the Club Marine Team of the Year trophy when the series finishes in October.

The catch-and-release tournament, proudly supported by Club Marine, is open to anglers of all skills, with juniors under 18 fishing with a parent or guardian. Teams cast lure, fly or soft plastic lures as they chase a bag of five bream on each day’s competition, with the heaviest two-day bag crowned the winner.

Three qualifying rounds remain in the series: the Bayford Volkswagen East Gippsland Bream Classic, April 30/May 1 in Mallacoota, the Club Marine East Gippsland Bream Classic, June 18 and 19 in Metung, and the Hobie Bream Classic, October 8 and 9 in Nelson.
