Celebrating its 10th running, the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron’s signature offshore yachting event, the Club Marine Brisbane to Keppel Tropical Yacht Race (B2K), will start on August 5.

The 348nm bluewater classic starts just east of Green Island on Brisbane’s Moreton Bay and sees the fleet cruise along Fraser Island’s shoreline before crossing the Tropic of Capricorn bound for Keppel Bay Marina.

A new division has been added to include short-handed (two crew) boats. Some 40 entries from mono and multihulls in IRC, ORCi, PHS, OMR and short-handed divisions are expected to participate, including Wild Oats XI. Entries close on July 22.
