A drop in river levels is expected in the Murray River, Mildura area.
The Murray River, Mildura region, is expected to progressively drop by approximately 1.5m by Sunday, December 18.
Club Marine advises members to adjust your boat’s moorings to accommodate the fall in river levels and to minimise potential damage to your vessel and surrounds.
Please also be vigilant when on the water and keep good watch for debris and submerged objects, such as tree trunks and branches, which could cause damage to vessels and endanger people engaging in towsports.
The Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) is reinstating the weirs on the Murray River in Victoria and New South Wales during December as the floods pass downstream into South Australia. For more information, read the MDBA media release here.
