Whittley Marlin Board
Extension
Whittley Cruisers has designed and produced a marlin
board extension that fits the Cruisemaster 700 model.
The extension, which fits over the transom section,
can be fitted to existing Cruisemaster 700 models or ordered as
an option on a new boat in production and comes complete with stainless
steel railings.

|
According to Steve Whittley, around half of the Cruisemaster
700s currently being built have been ordered with the extension
and the owners are making effective use of the additional space
by fitting BBQ units, deck chairs, bait boards etc.

Tarpon 3.7
Tom Bretherum spends a lot of his time fishing the
mangrove creeks in north Queensland, that's why he developed the
Bushman brand of bug repellent.
When he decided that he needed a car topper that could
fish two at a pinch, he built the Tarpon 3.7. The fibreglass, Kevlar
and carbon hull is a semi-vee bottom with very flat aft sections,
it measure 3.7 by 1.4 metres and the bare hull weighs 38 kilograms.
It has two removable swivel casting chairs, a small casting platform
and some rod storage on either side.
With a 9.8hp outboard on the back it will run at 33mph
and with two up, 28mph. The Tarpon 3.7 sells for $3,995.
