Whittley 550 with MerCruiser

The recently released Whittley Cruiser 550, has now been launched with a MerCruiser sterndrive power package.

The 550 is powered by a MerCruiser 3.0-litre, 135hp, four-cylinder engine.

With the MerCruiser engine fitted there is minimal adjustment to the interior layout, the foldout table, stern quarter seats and rear boarding ladder all remain in place.

As the sterndrive leg extends below the fibreglass platform, rear access to the boat is easy and with the installation of the optional hot water system, hot water can be plumbed to the rear shower and also the galley sink.

Measuring 5.3m, the Cruiser 550 comes standard with a full set of camper covers and allows it to be both a versatile fish and cruiser boat by day and fully self-contained overnighter.

The Cruiser 550 has been designed and manufactured to comply with NMMA and CE certification.

Boston Whaler 320 Outrage

The Boston Whaler 320 Outrage is the only model in the range to feature the new Active Deck Suspension System (ADSS).

Designed to increase the comfort of sailing, ADSS features pneumatic cylinders on the deck of the control deck, which swell when the hull drops. The greater the impact, the larger the amount of air released to reduce the impact. ADSS can be adjusted to suit the severity of the sea conditions or deactivated for mooring, fishing or in calm waters.

The 320 Outrage has a deep-vee hull and measures 9.80 metres with a beam of 3.00 metres.

Powered by a pair of Mercury Marine Optimax engines each rated at 225hp, the Outrage comes with a full package of equipment for the keen fisherman.

There are 29 fishing pole storage points, a cockpit rinsing system on the aft platform, high freeboards topped by stainless steel railing, a preparation post with a sink, tackle boxes and tools racks.

Other features include a full-width rear bench, which folds away to clear the cockpit and a waterproof Clarion CD stereo sound system.

Halvorsen 38’ Gourmet Cruiser

Halvorsen introduces the 38 Gourmet Cruiser.

Built in Australia, the 38 was designed by Harvey Halvorsen, the force behind the Island Gypsy range.

Harvey, who has many years of design experience including fast boats for the NSW Water Police and offshore oil rig crew boats, said: “I was looking for a design that would be somewhat nostalgic of years past, but automatically ended up with proven sensible layouts that are comfortable and work simply because they are hard to improve upon.”

The Halvorsen 38 is capable of 25 knots fully loaded and cruises at 20 knots with a single Yanmar 440hp diesel. Twin engines are optional.

Both galley up and galley down arrangements are offered. The boat is also available with an extended hardtop over the cockpit, ideal in harsh climates.
