Jeanneau Sun Odyssey and Sun Fast 40.3
The first of the new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40.3s has arrived from
France.
The new 40-footer is a development of the previous 40 and incorporates
some cockpit changes and a completely new coach roof design to
allow more light into the saloon.
The Sun Odyssey is available in either twin-cabin, single-head
or three-cabin, twin-head layouts and is finished in traditional
teak.
Jeanneau has also released the Sun Fast 40.3 to complement its
cruiser-racer range.
The Sun Fast range has deeper
keels and rudders, keel stepped masts, cockpit mainsheet travellers
and adjustable genoa cars.
Sporting the same luxurious interiors as their Sun Odyssey counterparts,
they are available in a three-cabin, single-head version and
have teak panelling.

| Quicksilver Range
Mercury Marine has announced the launch of a new range of Quicksilver
fibreglass cuddy cabin family boats.
There are seven models in the range, including the 220hp 640
Warrior cuddy at the top of the fleet, which can accommodate
up to seven people, through to the 90hp 510 Firecrest.
The 640 Warrior comes with both inboard and outboard power options
and has a beam of 2.3m. It is also available in a hard top version.
Other boats in the range include the 580 Lightning, which can accommodate
up to six and is powered by a 150hp outboard. The 530 Firestar,
530 Senator cuddy/runabout and 510 Dominator are able to hold up
to five people, with the 530 Firestar and 530 Senator powered by
130hp outboards and the 510 Dominator a 90hp outboard.
Manufactured by New Zealand company, Fi-Glass Boats, the Quicksilver
fibreglass cuddies come with features such as a deep ‘v’ hull,
positive buoyancy, anchor locker, underfloor storage, bilge pump
and
rod racks.
Mercury Boats national sales manager, Andrew McLean says, “We
have selected the range because of its ability to meet and satisfy
various boating markets. The boats are ideal for family fun on
the water and are versatile enough to be used for cruising, water
sports or heading offshore for serious fishing.”
Quicksilver boats are covered by a comprehensive six-year structural
hull warranty and can be combined with a three-year Mercury or
Mariner outboard warranty.

Quintrex 480 Freedom Sport
For those looking for a versatile boat, Quintrex offers the new
480 Freedom Sport.
Designed to cater for family cruising, fishing or skiing, the
480 Freedom Sport measures 5.04m overall and can be towed behind
a medium four-cylinder family car.
Rated to carry a maximum 80hp (recommended 60hp), it features
Quintrex’s
Millennium Hull, Flared Bow and Maxi 2 Transom for a smoother ride

Effective from December 2004, DeepVee
Marine will no longer manufacture the Black Watch range of 260,
280, 310 and 340 sports fishing vessels, previously built under
licence for Black Watch Boats Pty Ltd.
DeepVee Marine has decided to re-brand
its product range and will market its own range of products under
the brand ‘Deep V’.
The Deep V range will consist of
the Deep V 260, Deep V 280 Express Cruiser, Deep V 310 and Deep
V 340. The company has already begun designing additional models
to complement its range.

Perry 57
Perry Catamarans has announced the release of the Perry 57.
According to designer Bryan Perry, the 57 is a development of
the Perry 43 and is designed for those “who wanted something
bigger along the same lines.”
Onboard accommodation consists of two large suites featuring
queen-size island beds and an aft cabin with a queen-size bed.
There are two ensuites and a large main bathroom with separate
shower.
The well-appointed galley is adjacent to the main entertainment
area, and for those wishing to cruise for extended periods, there
is a laundry complete with washing machine and dryer.
Outside the main saloon is a large, sheltered cockpit, ideal
for outdoor entertaining and a landing platform with access to
the dock or tender.
Other features include a dual helm station and a
crew cabin.
The Perry 57 offers luxury, spaciousness and the benefits that

Haines Hunter 520 Breeze
Haines Hunter has released the latest addition to its Breeze
range, the 520 Breeze.
Modelled on the V17 Legend, the 520 Breeze is an ideal entry-level
family boat, says Haines Hunter.
It features a curved windscreen with walk-through centre providing
access to the anchor locker and bow, swivel bucket seats on
pedestals, removable quarter seats and plenty of storage under

Glastron Sport Cruiser
The first Glastron GS269 has
arrived in Australia and is in stock at Webbe Marine.
Featuring contemporary lines, this latest offering from Glastron
measures 8.2m in overall length and has a beam of 2.59m.
The open outdoor cockpit has a helm station, surrounded by a
generous sunbaking or entertaining area.
Down below, the GS269 Sport Cruiser houses a well-appointed galley
