Bar Crusher’s newest trailerable rig, the 620, is constructed from heavy duty, pre-stressed, marine-grade plate aluminium. Measuring 6.80m LOA, with a 2.35m beam, the new cuddy cabin model features Bar Crusher’s “Waveslicer” deep-vee hull, which, the company says, slices through chop and delivers the smoothest ride of any aluminium boat on the market.

The 620 is constructed with Bar Crusher’s “Quickflow” water ballast technology, which relies on a cavity that runs the full length of the keel. The cavity fills with water when the boat is stationary, lowering the chines into the water for greater stability. The company claims the cavity drains in seconds as the boat moves forward to allow it to leap effortlessly onto the plane.

The 620 comes with a 200lt fuel capacity, a large cockpit fishing area, heavy-duty checkerplate deck, optional anchor winch, forward bunks and a foldable windscreen.

Bar Crusher says it has always put durability before aesthetics, and that owners of its aluminium-hulled boats never worry about “tizzy bits and pieces that need constant maintenance.” For example, the bottom plates of all Bar Crushers are unpainted so that bumping the trailer or ramp when loading or offloading won’t affect the boat’s looks.

MASTERCRAFT X-45

MasterCraft says the design features of the X-45 have made it the most desired 24-foot water ski boat in the industry. The unique hull design of the X-45 increases dead-rise at the bow and stern and gives it more big-water capability at cruising speeds. In addition, the hull has a down-turned chine that improves run surface efficiency at high speeds and creates deep water troughs at wakeboarding speeds, according to MasterCraft.

A wide variety of standard features is offered with the X-45, like the modular dash display, colour video display, removable swim platform, large helm seat, rotating wakeboard racks, five JL audio speakers and a large wrap-around interior.

To enhance bow space, MasterCraft designers created the catamaran-inspired “SuperFly” bow, which offers increased seating and storage, while maintaining a deep-vee entry. Under the seats, there is 115 cubic feet of storage space.

Some of the X-45’s most unique features include a diamond-shaped transom, walk-thru sun pad, scooped billet aluminium vent covers, billet cockpit appointments, aircraft-style top-lit switches, ballast gauges and a large urethane glove box.
