Club Marine tournament success
Anglers in NSW are still talking about the Club Marine Trailer Boat Fishing Tournament. This year’s event, held at d’Albora Marinas in Nelson Bay, boasted the participation of 1100 anglers fishing from 525 trailer boats.
Held the weekend prior to Easter every year, the Trailer Boat Fishing Tournament has grown to be one of the most popular family fishing tournaments in Australia. This year, there was over $100,000 in Species and Lucky Draw prizes to be won.
As always, the organisers kept the focus on family by keeping the rules and operation of the tournament deliberately simple. Each year, at least half of the competitors are participating in their first tournament.
Once again, Club Marine NSW distinguished itself for the amount of support it gave the tournament. In particular, mention must be made of Luke Eagle, Club Marine’s NSW Business Development Manager, who personally packed and presented 500 tournament bags, and hung in there to congratulate the winners on behalf of Club Marine at the awards ceremony.
Plans are already underway for the 2009 event. For more information, check out: www.tbft.com.au.
