The new Eagle 53 Pilothouse Cruiser, launched by Eagle Cruisers Australia, is a well-equipped, semi-customisable blue water cruiser that represents true value in today’s market, says Eagle Cruisers.
The Portuguese bridge and full walk-around decks give the boat an appearance of a small ship, however they also provide the utmost safety and confidence for those onboard.
A large stainless-framed door provides access from the teak cockpit into the saloon, which is equipped with a leather lounge, dining table, the latest entertainment systems and a galley built to the owner’s preference.
The flybridge, with its accompanying lounges, barbeque countertop and fridge, is the perfect place to enjoy cruising local waterways. And for coastal cruising or when the weather turns inclement, the skipper and crew can relax in the pilothouse with a comfortable helm and lounge dining area with panoramic views.
The accommodation forward consists of a two- or three-cabin layout, with two heads.
Two 1500lt fuel tanks give a range of about 1200 nautical miles at 9 knots, with twin Cummins QSB 5.9L engines spinning four-blade propellers on 2.25in shafts.
The first hull to Australia has travelled 2800 nautical miles along the coast in a wide range of conditions from Sydney to the Whitsundays, proving the American hull design in Australian waters, says Eagle Cruisers.
Eagle Cruisers Australia is a division of Nitro Marine on the Gold Coast and was established in 1974. For more information, contact Michael Waugh or Dale Collins, tel (07) 5532 5812, web:www.eaglecruisers.com.au
Noble Boats International boasts a wide range of quality aluminium boats to choose from. The range includes centre console, side console, centre cabins, cuddy cabins and runabouts for lifestyle boating.
Noble says it prides itself on building the highest quality plate aluminium boats on the market. All its boats are manufactured to the highest quality standards and can be used as hardcore fishing boats or for leisure boating, says Noble.
The range extends from 5m up to 12.5m craft and all are designed by experienced naval architects.
Noble says its craft are built with safety and toughness in mind, and boast such features as DNV-standard construction, including sturdy 5mm plate throughout on most hulls (4mm on 5m craft), and 4mm plate on structural components.
All boats have fully-welded sealed alloy decks, full seam welding inside and out, and have fully-welded frames and girders, ensuring that structural members are not left floating and unfixed.
To ensure the utmost quality, full on-site chemical, physical and weight testing is undertaken of all raw materials used in construction, says Noble.
Noble’s management systems also comply with international ISO9001 standard for quality assurance.
All designs are prepared by naval architects on CAD software, while computers also control plate cutting to ensure the best possible fit and alignment. Every hull is also individually inspected throughout the construction process and welds are X-rayed for defects.
Fuel and water tanks are also baffled and pressure tested.
Noble says its hulls are known for their soft riding and stability while at rest, while all edges and corners are rounded to prevent injury when moving about.
Noble’s 24-degree deadrise Super Vee hull relieves water pressure underway, and ensures maximum speed for minimal horsepower and fuel.
The Super Vee design was developed to produce a hull that not only cuts through the water, but gives superior stability on the run or at rest while keeping spray to a minimum.
To achieve this, the hull has a deep centre vee, but incorporates several angular progressions, from deep along the centreline, then reducing towards the pronounced reversed outer chine, with a centre reversed chine.
The bow incorporates a deep, super-fine forefoot, which assures a soft, dry entrance into head seas, even in the harshest seas, says Noble.
Other features include full-depth girders no more than 300mm apart for added strength, self-draining floors, superior flotation and separate air-tight chambers for fuel and storage.
