Cobalt 243 Sport Cuddy
The Cobalt 243 Sport Cuddy is making its way to Australia in 2011, and the initial debut of this entry-level sport cruiser from North America is planned for mid-year.
Cobalt Boats Australia says the Cobalt 243 abounds with rich and thoughtful appointments, with a set of options that maximise its inherent value as an elegant day cruiser. The cockpit is an entertainment centre and the cabin is a private retreat, says Cobalt Boats Australia.
The exterior cockpit deck of the 243 Cuddy is spacious, offering an aft sun lounge, an uncluttered side passageway, an L-shaped settee, and two forward-looking driver and passenger seats.
Below deck is a head with a sink and a V berth that sleeps two. Power is provided by a choice of MerCruiser or Volvo engines, which start at 300hp and go up to 430hp.
Cobalt Boats Australia says the 243 Sport Cuddy is split but splendid in its personality, a study in both long-term value and immediate gratification. The 243 Sport Cuddy brings sumptuous textures and well-dressed surfaces together with hard functionality, suggesting – says Cobalt Boats Australia – that cuddy owners really can have it all.

Riviera 53 Flybridge
Riviera’s new 53 Flybridge has been developed by the Riviera design team after nearly two years of detailed consultation with boat owners across the globe.
The result, says Riviera, is a vessel of considerable internal volume with unprecedented living spaces, elegant amenities and unrivalled performance.
A sliding glass door and a hinged hopper window on the 53’s main deck bring light and fresh air from the huge cockpit into the main saloon living space. The cockpit also doubles as an entertainment venue, complete with hidden barbecue.
The new 53 has three cabins and two bathrooms. It’s also the first Riviera flybridge in the 50ft range to offer a full-beam master stateroom with king-size bed and large ensuite.
The 53 is the first Riviera in this size bracket to offer an enclosed flybridge with spacious seating for a party of 10. Flybridge access is via an internal staircase and an open flybridge option is also available.
The 53 also offers the flexibility of choice, with a range of different pod drive and engine plant configurations. This new model has been entirely designed around these proven and efficient drives.
The new 53 Flybridge will make its world premiere at the 2011 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

350 Amanzi RIB
The 350 Amanzi has a new hull design that includes a deeper V, lifting strakes and a change in the boat’s aft-hull geometry. The new design means the 3.5m vessel is now rated for outboards up to 40hp, making it even more suitable as a ‘day tripper’ in its own right.
Built to carry up to four people, the 350 Amanzi is equipped with a luxury side console and forward steering with tilt adjustment. The driver has complete control, with an easy-to-read speedometer, tacho, fuel gauge and voltage meter built into the console.
Luxury seating, a windscreen and cup holders provide comfort rarely seen in a 3.5m inflatable boat. Other features include an electric bilge pump, navigation lights, courtesy lights, an integral fuel tank, three air chambers, passenger handles and a non-slip deck.
Made of super-tough Hypalon XD material, the 350 Amanzi’s maker says it’s resistant to abrasions, hydrocarbons, fire, ultra-violet light and fading. Each Amanzi is backed by a limited five-year warranty on the tubes and a three-year warranty on the hull.
