Ken Monk joins the team in New Zealand

Club Marine BDM NZ Ken Monk
Ken Monk has been appointed to the role of Business Development Manager (BDM) at Club Marine New Zealand. He assumed the role on May 1, 2017.

Ken comes to Club Marine after a career in various leading New Zealand insurance and finance businesses, most recently at QBE Insurance where he managed the marine division.

Club Marine NZ Manager Nick Meister congratulated Ken on his appointment and has welcomed him to the team.

“Ken has a wealth of knowledge in claims, sales and underwriting, and has already made an impact with his arrival,” said Nick.

“His knowledge and understanding of the broker and marine markets is a great benefit to Club Marine – as is his passion for sailing. Ken is a keen and skilled sailor and has been involved in various divisions and classes over the years, both as an amateur and a professional. He has already participated in the NZ Marine Industry Sailing Challenge and is involved with the Club Marine Winter Series, held out of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron.”

Ken is based at Club Marine’s Auckland office, working alongside a team of skilled underwriters.

“I’m excited to join Club Marine and am pleased to be part of the small, but very effective Kiwi team,” said Ken. “Having always respected the Club Marine brand, its risk model and how the business operates in the competitive pleasurecraft market, I’m proud to be part of the growing team and am looking forward to assisting brokers, dealers and associates with their specific insurance needs.”
