Agreed Value / Valuation

At Club Marine, choose between agreed value and market value to get the best possible cover to suit both your boat and your boating lifestyle.

With an extensive network of marine dealers and service centres at your disposal, simply take your boat in for evaluation to determine which option best suits your needs.

What does it mean?

Club Marine’s agreed value policy gives you confidence that in the case of a total loss, your boat is insured up to the value as agreed upon in the valuation.

Choose Club Marine’s market value policy and in the event of a total loss, the value of your boat equals the sale value immediately before the loss occurred.

Inboard Inspection Report

Based on the age and type of boat being insured, we may ask you to provide an Inboard Inspection Report to help us
understand the condition and service history of your boat. It is a requirement of your Club Marine Pleasure Craft Insurance
to have your inboard regularly serviced. In the event of a claim, you may be required to provide any service records
relevant to your boat.

An Inboard Inspection Report may also give you peace of mind regarding your safety, and that of your passengers.

Your local marine dealer or service centre will be able to perform the required inboard inspection and complete the report.

Risk Evaluation & Survey Report

If you have a moored boat, we may ask you to provide a Risk Evaluation or Survey Report to help us understand the seaworthiness and overall condition of your boat. In the event of a claim you may be required to provide any service records relevant to your boat.

A Risk Evaluation or Survey Report may also give you peace of mind regarding your safety, and that of your passengers.

A survey can be completed by any Qualified Marine Surveyor. Alternatively, a Local Shipwright can complete the
attached Risk Evaluation report. Please note, both report types require the boat be inspected out of the water.

Rigging Report

A rigging report needs to be completed by a yacht rigger and allows us to qualify the current condition and serviceability of your mast, spars and rigging and will also provide us with the age and life expectancy of your standing rigging.

Upon receipt, review and acceptance of the report we are able to offer you terms to cover your mast spars and rigging.
