Club Marine March 2018 eNews

Welcome to Club Marine’s March eNews!

In this edition, we’re giving away a bunch of tickets to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, which this year celebrates its 30th anniversary and will feature a new Sports, Leisure and Fishing Boats precinct dedicated to trailerable craft. Head to the ‘events and boat shows’ section for details on how to enter into the draw for SCIBS tickets.

We also have some timely advice on preventing storm damage to boats. There are actually quite a few things you can do to reduce the risk of damage to your boat, other boats around it, and the marina it’s berthed in.

On a more technical note from Club Marine Magazine, there’s a piece about life-saving emergency devices which outlines a range of equipment that could save lives at sea in an emergency, while our handy list for launching and retrieving trailerboats will benefit old salts and those new to boating.

We also do our best to unravel insurance-speak, with two ‘popular’ terms that can leave members scratching their heads, and divulge a delightfully simple seafood recipe that can easily be adapted for other types of fish.

Also in this edition: along with reviews of two new boats we took for a spin and information about Raymarine's most advanced solid-state marine radar, the Quantum 2 with Doppler target-identification technology, we've got the scoop on Mercury Marine's hot new V6 FourStroke outboards.
