BOOT DÜSSELDORF 2024

‘HOTTEST’ NEW RELEASES FROM EUROPE

January in Germany is icy cold, to say the least, but inside the enormous halls of Boot Düsseldorf boat show you find the world’s hottest collection of new boats for 2024.

There are 1100 vessels in all, spanning a vast exhibition space totalling 220,000m2, making this the world’s biggest boat show and also the first on the global calendar.

A 110,000kg Princess X95 has become a ‘trailerboat’ for the week, and it’s certainly not alone. Elsewhere, European powerhouses like Groupe Beneteau, HanseYachts, Ferretti and Benetti are surging ahead in the luxury segment, while the variety of performance playthings, mid-sized cruisers and cruiser-racing yachts is staggering.

Innovation is everywhere – from foil-borne water scooters to a 3D-printed 5.7m cruiser, along with jetboats that mimic McLaren sportscars. Competition also appears rife among the clean-running adventure vessels inspired by the likes of Axopar and Fjord.

With all this going on, Club Marine TV braved the snow and frost to take a ‘First Look’ at some of the newly released models that will ultimately find their way to Australian shores.

Axopar 29

A decade after launching the game-changing Axopar 28, the Finnish builder used Boot Düsseldorf as the launch pad for an all-new 29-footer with a host of refinements and innovations. The 29 is available as a Cross Cabin or Sun Top, as Axopar Founding Partner Jan-Erik Viitala explains.

Cormate

Cormate builds some of Europe’s best-handling and best-looking sports performance hulls with offshore racing DNA and exceptional build quality. Hear what sets them apart in this short Club Marine TV ‘First Look’ from Boot Düsseldorf.

Greenline

Sold in Australia by award-winning dealer eyachts, Greenline boats are leaders in producing high-efficiency hulls with advanced hybrid power solutions. As displayed at the recent Boot Düsseldorf boat show, a 45 Coupe is heading to Western Australia.

Navan 30

Quicksilver Boats didn’t just create a brand new model to join the competitive Adventure segment, it created a whole new upmarket brand called Navan. The 30-footer is on its way to Australia as we speak for dealer Collins Marine.

Pardo GT52

Italian builder Pardo yachts has branched out from its world-class dayboat range with the GT range, which starts with a beautifully sleek and stylish 52 footer as seen at Boot Düsseldorf.

Saffier V2

While Saffier yachts is a Dutch-based builder of award-winning daysailers, the company’s heritage dates back to building Santana yachts in Sydney in the 1970s. Take a look at its remarkable range with Australian-born Director Dennis Hennevanger.

Wellcraft

Wellcraft’s new 435 raises the bar on the outdoor adventure segment, achieving a high distinction for style, luxury and performance. As the bigger sister to the Wellcraft 355, it was designed by the Camillo Garroni Studio in Italy with underwater lines penned by American naval architect Michael Peters.

Dates for the 2025 Boot Düsseldorf, Germany, are January 18 to 26.
