Club Marine finalist in the Small-Medium Underwriting Agency of the Year category at the 22nd Australian Insurance Industry Awards.

Club Marine, Australia’s largest boat insurance provider, has been recognised among Australia’s leading insurance businesses after being named a finalist in the inaugural Small-Medium Underwriting Agency of the Year category at the 22nd Australian Insurance Industry Awards.

Presented annually by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), the awards are the insurance sector’s top accolade, celebrating excellence in underwriting, innovation, customer outcomes and professional standards.

Club Marine CEO Tim Wiles said being named a finalist was a significant achievement that reflected the expertise and dedication of the entire Club Marine team.

“Our goal, every day, is to raise the bar for specialist marine insurance and deliver the best possible outcomes for our members and partners,” Mr Wiles said. “So being recognised as a finalist for ANZIIF’s award is a tremendous honour.

“It reinforces our commitment to combining rigorous underwriting discipline with a genuine understanding of Australia’s boating community.”

It is the first time that ANZIIF has offered the underwriting award tailored to insurance businesses in the small-medium scale, having previously grouped all underwriting agencies under one national category.

The awards are judged by an independent panel of respected industry leaders and recognise organisations that demonstrate sustained excellence across business performance, innovation, governance and customer experience.

“Awards like these recognise organisations that are making a meaningful difference for customers,” Mr Wiles added. “At Club Marine we understand only too well that life on the water comes with unique risks and experiences. In recent years we’ve introduced a range of industry-first product enhancements, simplified policy language, expanded cover in response to new trends and continued refining our claims capabilities.”

The winners of the 22nd ANZIIF Australian Insurance Industry Awards will be announced at a gala ceremony at ICC Sydney on August 13.
