Runabout Insurance from Club Marine

Boaties are a passionate lot. Our boat insurance is designed by insurance professionals with real boating experience and offers cover options to suit a variety of boats, boating lifestyles, and on water activities.

Runabouts vary widely, and so do the on water activities they are used for.

Whether you have an outboard, inboard, or sterndrive, we have policy options to suit you, and depending on your boat we offer a choice of agreed or market value cover.

Our policy offers optional cover for waterskiing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing and aquaplaning, and cover for your boat during voluntary rescue activities. All that fun requires equipment - Club Marine’s cover for equipment and accessories is broad enough to include the wide range of safety and sporting, fishing and recreational equipment which you use on your boat.

We know that there’s more to owning a boat than simply being out on the water, so we also include cover for your boat while it’s being stored, and if you have a trailerable boat, when it’s on your trailer.

You can also nominate lay-up cover, and save money during the periods when you don’t use your boat.

COVER FOR YOUR RUNABOUT

We provide cover for accidental loss or damage, malicious damage and theft.

COVER FOR TOWING

In the event of an accident, Club Marine’s runabout cover includes up to $1,000 to tow your boat and trailer to the nearest repairer.

COVER FOR YOUR GEAR

Automatic cover is provided for fishing gear, diving equipment, and water ski equipment up to $1,500 per item and up to $10,000 in total. Your personal effects are also covered up to $1,500 per item and up to $10,000 in total. These items are included within the total sum insured you specify. You can ask us to increase these amounts if you think they won't be enough.

COVER TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS

Our runabout cover takes into account seasonal variations in use. If you keep your runabout stored during winter, we offer layup cover at discounted rates that still covers your vessel against storage risks like fire, theft and storm damage.

Any advice here does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. Terms, conditions, limits and exclusions apply. Before making a decision, please consider the relevant Product Disclosure Statement (PDS)/Policy Wording, which is available on this website, your printed quote, which may list additional terms and conditions specific to your Policy and other Policy documentation including the Schedule.

Runabout Insurance

Cover by a specialist insurer who understands you

There’s no better feeling than being out on the water. Life’s easy out there. You’re free.

We make it even easier for you with Club Marine Assist. Included with your policy at no extra cost, Club Marine Assist gives you round-the-clock support for you and your boat.

Terms and conditions apply.

Personal Assist

Help for you, when you need it. Personal Assist helps you sort out vehicle or transport rental in the case of an accident, both on and off the water, and accommodation for you and your passengers when your boat is away from your home or home port. We can also put you in touch with the right services for emergency medical advice and maintenance.

Vehicle Assist

Vehicle Assist covers you when you’re transporting your boat by trailer. You get roadside assistance when you’re towing your boat, or travelling to and from your boat. We’ll help you jumpstart a flat battery, change a tyre, get spare keys, provide you with emergency fuel, and tow your vehicle and/or trailer to our nearest approved repairer.

Member Assist

Members get 24/7 access to support, advice, directions, and services. We’ll provide you with information on service centres, marina locations, volunteer marine rescue coordination, and even tide times and weather reports.

Trailer Assist

Your boat isn’t always on the water, so Trailer Assist covers your trailer during those times too. We can help you change flat tyres, make minor mechanical repairs, arrange emergency towing to the nearest approved repairer, and arrange transport to get you and your boat back home.
